Alder flowering diminishes in southern parts of the country and continues in central parts of the country and Northern Ostrobothnia and Kainuu. Flowering intensifies in southern Lapland. Small amounts of alder pollen may be transported to central and northern Lapland.

Local birch flowering isn’t expected to start before the turn of the month. Birch pollen is long-range transported in the southern parts of the country.

Rain reduces local pollen levels.
