Birch flowers in the northern parts of the country.

Grass is flowering in the southern and central parts of the country and has started to bloom in North Ostrobothnia and Kainuu. Flowering is expected to start in the southern parts of Lapland within a week.

Pine and spruce are flowering in southern and central parts of the country and southern Lapland. Conifer pollen sets on surfaces forming a yellow layer, but causes allergic reactions to very few.

Rain reduces pollen levels in the air.
